The Mathilde wraps a fine band around the finger several times, coiling up to a single oval diamond at the top. At 3 carats the elongated stone sits bright above the spiralling shank, the multiple wraps giving the ring a sculptural, contemporary feel. It's a modern reinterpretation of the solitaire — the coiled band lending movement and architectural interest where a plain shank would sit still.
