How Diamond Studs Are Set

The setting decides how much of the diamond you see and how securely it is held.

• Four prongs: show the most diamond and give a round stone a slightly squared outline.
• Six prongs: add security and keep a round diamond looking round. If you prefer a six-prong stud, ask our design team about a custom pair.
• Three prongs: used for heart studs, holding the two lobes and the point.
• Halo and cluster: several smaller stones around or alongside the centre, for a larger face-up look.
